George Llanos is currently a Manager within the Business and Diversity Initiatives Unit, Department of Diversity and Civil Rights, Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). His main responsibility in this capacity is to assist Minority, Disadvantaged and Women-Owned Businesses as well as Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses on how to best navigate the process of doing business with the MTA and its operating agencies. Mr. Llanos has a long history in the field of economic development working with businesses on many levels. Before joining the MTA, he was employed with the LaGuardia Community College Procurement Technical Assistance Center where he counseled many businesses on successful government contracting and becoming certified with all levels of government. Prior to that, he was a business development liaison for the Bronx Borough President’s Office providing information to the local community board and businesses on an array of topics including tax credits, emergency response resources, financial assistance options and government regulations.
George is a graduate of the University at Albany.
