Richard J. Waston has more than 26 years of experience in the Transportation industry, serving in leadership roles for both management and labor. He has worked as a manger at several MTA agencies (NYCT, MNR, BSC and MTA-HQ). On the labor side, he held both elected and non-elected roles in both the Transport Workers Union, Local 100 and the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO (International Union), including serving as Chairman and Executive Board member. Richard is currently manager, Employee Relations at MTA Headquarters, where he is responsible for providing labor and employment advice to MTA managerial staff. Richard holds a BA in Public Administration, MA in Urban Policy and Planning and an MBA in Organization Management. He has further training in human capital management and conflict resolution. Richard brings a wealth of experience and education to the position of Executive Vice President.
